When starting this project in our hometown forest in Normandy a few years ago, my son suggested to name it "People", because "actually, this is what you want to photography" he told me. And somewhat, I cannot totally disagree... A hurricane has recently destroyed the woodland. But Life keeps on growing, and Nature will recover. It is only a matter of time. Forests play an important role in our collective imagination, and in mythologies. Then, my project might turn into something different, a more personal reflection about what can learned from this kind of disasters.
